SUBFAMILY AEDIINAE

�� This genus is a member of the true Catocalinae, as discussed by Holloway (2005). As mentioned in the introductory section for the Aediinae, it has acted until recently a depository for most of that subfamily. The species below is also misplaced in Catephia and occurs in Borneo. However, its association with the Aediinae requires further investigation; it is not a catocaline even in the broadest sense, as discussed below.
