Acidaliodes strenualis
Hampson (Plate 3)
Acidaliodes
strenualis Hampson, 1914, Ann.
Mag. nat. Hist. (8), 13: 166.
Diagnosis. The wing shape is typical of the Araeopteron
group, and the colour is a darkish grey. There is a narrow, straight, pale
submarginal on all wings, with the marginal zone distal to it slightly darker
than the wings more basally. In this basal area on the forewing, there is some
broad but diffuse banding of the grey, the medial area being slightly darker.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The only specimen seen is the holotype
female from Sarawak, collected by A.R. Wallace, probably in the lowlands.
