Hyriodes Hampson
Type species: leucocraspis Hampson, Borneo.
This is a
monobasic genus, with only the holotype female known. Hampson (1910)
illustrated features of the head and wing venation. The labial palps are
upturned, the second segment reaching the vertex and the third segment being
very small. The antennae are ciliated. The venation is as in Acidaliodes,
but the hindwing margin is deeply excavated at M2, with the next three spaces
between the veins posterior to this also concave at the margin. The facies is
described below.
