Diagnosis. This species is slightly larger than emarginata,
with the forewings a lighter, more ashy grey. The fasciation is similar to that
of emarginata but the central black mark on the forewing costa is more
intensely black and more narrowly hooked at its interior extremity, and the
subapical mark is a more elongate trapezium with paler edging.
Geographical range. Philippines (Luzon), Borneo.
Habitat preference. Only one specimen has been taken in
Borneo, a female from a Pinus caribaea plantation near Brumas in the
lowlands of Sabah.
