SUBFAMILY EUSTROTIINAE

Cretonia lanka sp. n. (Figs 119, 122).

This species resembles acuticosta sp. n. (see below) in having a large cornutus set distally on the aedeagus vesica, but lacks the acutely produced apex to the valve costal process and has a horn‑like apex to the sacculus as in forficula sp. n. The juxta is extended dorsally on each side into long slender processes almost to the extent seen in forficula, more than in vegetus. The tegumen lacks processes, however. The female genitalia (slide 21116) are similar to those of forficula. The species is only known from Sri Lanka. Holotype G. Puttalam, CEYLON, BM noctuid slide 21081.
