13mm. This species is allied to the previous two with forewing ground
colour as in chalybsoides, but the medial and basal areas have a dark
bluish tone, the fine antemedial being edged white on either side; the reniform
is larger and the pale postmedial is invested with dark brown irregularly
distally and basally; the submarginal triangles are edged finely but distinctly
with a white fascia distad (seen faintly only in the other two species).
Holotype . SARAWAK: Gunong Mulu National Park, R.G.S. Exped. 1977-8 (J.D.
Holloway
et al.), BM 1978-206, Site 26, April, G. Api Pinnacles, 1200m, 428545, Open
scrub, MV. BM noctuid slide 10969.
Geographical range. Borneo, Sumatra.
Habitat preference. The Bornean specimen was taken in upper montane
forest on limestone.
The species is named for Mr N. de N. Winser, administrative officer on
the Mulu Expedition.
