Diomea
roydsi sp. n.
11, 13mm. This is a species the size of rotundata
but
with facies more as in dialitha, though with less prominent white dots on the
postmedials. The forewings are slightly more produced apically. The hindtibia is
tufted with black scales as in rotundata,
but the species lacks the rufous brown rectangle at the hindwing tornus. In the
male genitalia the saccus is shorter, broader than in the other species, and the
tegumen is relatively longer. The valves are narrower, the sacculus narrow
throughout, terminating in a short, upturned spine.
