Diagnosis.
The ground colour of the forewing is dull yellow, clouded and marked with black.
The reniform is finely and faintly evident, and other fasciae are obscure except
for two interlocking rows of black, elliptical patches postmedially that become
more evident, larger, towards the dorsum. The hindwing is black with a yellow
border.
Geographical
range. Singapore,
Borneo, Thailand (VK).
Habitat
preference. This is a rare lowland forest species, recorded from Samarinda
and the Barito Ulu in Kalimantan, from hill dipterocarp forest at 100-150m near
the Danum Valley Field Centre in Sabah, and from alluvial forest at 70m at the
foot of G. Mulu.
