Diagnosis.
This is a moderate-sized violet grey and green species distinguished by the
black shading that grades away basad from the sinuous forewing postmedial and,
on the hindwing, from the anterior section of the whitish submarginal.
Taxonomic
note. The male genitalia are typical of the genus, with a distal
process on narrow valves, and a robust cornutus on the long diverticulum of the
aedeagus vesica.
Geographical
range. Borneo, Sumatra (HS / K).
Habitat
preference. All five specimens seen are from G. Kinabalu. The material in
the original description lacks altitude data, as do two collected by Waterstradt
but the fifth was taken at 1200m at Bundu Tuhan in an area of cultivation and
forest remnants.
