Diagnosis.
The species is somewhat similar to mniomera in appearance, but the postmedials are straighter,
more definitely double, and the forewing is bisected longitudinally by a much
broader dark brown streak. There is more of a pinkish suffusion, particularly on
the hindwing.
Taxonomic
note. The species was treated as distinct from T.
lineifera Walker
by Barlow (1982), followed by Poole (1989). The taxa sondaicus
Snellen
(Java, Sulawesi), albidalis Walker (Seram) and olivacea Pagenstecher
(Ambon), currently placed as synonyms of the Indian T.
lineifera Walker,
together with T.
vandenberghi Prout
(Sulawesi, Philippines) need investigation.
Geographical
range. Singapore,
Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Thailand.
Habitat
preference.The species has been taken infrequently in various lowland
dipterocarp forest types at elevations up to 300m.
