Diagnosis.
The forewings are elongate, narrow, the distal margin excavate at the apex and
thus anteriorly bidentate. They are fawn in colour with a faintly darker streak
running their length to the more posterior angle of the margin. There are
slightly darker brownish fasciae, and blackish markings at the reniform,
orbicular and, more extensive, subtornally. The hindwings are slightly darker, a
rosy brown.
Taxonomic
note. The male genitalia of the typical material from Queensland and
that from Borneo are similar, except the most costal process on the valve is
slightly broader in Borneo.
Geographical
range. Queensland,
Seram, Sulawesi, Borneo.
Habitat
preference. Two females have been taken in an area of swamp forest and
secondary vegetation at Badas in the lowlands (15m) of Brunei.
