Condate
pseudohypenoides sp. n.
, 11-12mm. The facies is very similar to that of hypenoides
(China,
Burma) in the course of the fasciae, including a slight kink in the forewing
antemedial at one third from the costa. However, the colour varies from the grey
of hypenoides
to
a more ochreous brown, and the postmedial can be delineated on each side by
darker brown rather than being simply pale. The forewing reniform is usually
pale-centred rather than uniformly dark. The submarginals are more irregular,
darker rather than paler than the ground. The male genitalia, as compared with a
specimen from S. Burma (slide 18419), the type locality of ssp. rufistigma
Warren of hypenoides,
have a longer, slightly upcurved distal part of the valve, and a shorter
saccular portion that is accompanied by a longer slightly curved, digitate
process on its costal side that is not seen in hypenoides. The female genitalia are similar to those of rectiorsilla
sp.
n. (see
below) though with a straighter, less swollen ductus bursae, and much less well
developed lateral pockets in the lamella antevaginalis.
