Diagnosis.
The forewings are speckled and marked with dull brown and variably suffused with
greyish brown on a pale bone-coloured ground. The reniform is marked by two dark
dots in a paler surround. The postmedial is obscure, sinuous, but the
submarginal is straight, running from the tornus to the costa, 2mm subapically.
The strength of the submarginal is variable.
Geographical
range. Borneo, Sumatra (HS / ZSM).
Habitat
preference. The original series of eleven specimens was taken on G.
Kinabalu between 1200m and 2110m. Two specimens have been recorded since from
Bukit Retak in Brunei, at 1510m and 1618m.
