Diagnosis. The forewing has some resemblance to
that of uloptera but lacks the transverse brown band, has the
antemedial black area oblique and edged creamy white distally, and has the
postmedial black area much wider. Females tend to be greyer, with the black
markings less extensive.
Geographical range. Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra,
Borneo.
Habitat preference. All records are from lowland
forest, many from heath forest, except for one from 1465m on Bukit Retak.
