Diagnosis. The forewings have a distinctive pale
violet irroration, picking out the subbasal and antemedial fasciae that are
separated by a dark band from similar medial and postmedial fasciae. The
irroration also occurs in the two broader sectors between the submarginal and
the distal margin.
Taxonomic note. A species with similar facies but
strongly bipectinate male antennae occurs in Sulawesi.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya,
Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat preference. Four specimens have been taken
in Brunei:
one from lowland forest at 300m in the Ulu Temburong; two from lowland forest
at 400m at Bedawan; one from montane forest at 1618m on Bukit Retak.
