Diagnosis. This is the smallest Sypna species, a brown
colour similar to that of subsignatoides and a similar
dark medial band to the forewing, though this last is narrower and of more even
width, flanked on each side by doubled pale fasciae.
The
biarcuate submarginal consists of a more locally sized array of dark brown marks,
those near the costa only slightly larger than the rest.
Geographical range. Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat preference. The only Bornean record is a
male from 1465m on Bukit Retak in Brunei.
