Diagnosis.
The forewings are a more uniform dark greenish brown than in obliquistriga, obscurely fasciated except for the distinctly paler submarginal. Males have the dorsal two thirds of the hindwing distinctly darkened. Their labial palps are much smaller, recurved to not much further than the anterior of the thorax.

Geographical range. Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Sulawesi.

Habitat preference. The species is frequent in forests from the lowlands to 1790m.
