Diagnosis.
The male antennae have a node near the base and a slight expansion in the centre but lack pectination. The facies is distinctive with the relatively entire, linear fasciation much more clearly defined on a blackish ground than in orgyoides Walker (see below), though the submarginal is more irregular and broken. The forewing has a white discal lunule and a white patch at one third from the costa between the submarginal and margin.

Geographical range. Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo.

Habitat preference. This is a rare species, with individuals recorded from 600m to 1790m. It is possibly most frequent in the lower montane zone.
