Diagnosis.
This is the largest of the species with facies similar to schaldusalis, having coloration and facies somewhat as in griseolimbalis, but with slightly deeper forewings and a convex, rather than straight or concave, forewing costa. The pale marginal zone is slightly broader. The male antennae are ciliate, the forelegs with a lens-shaped expansion of scaling distally.

Geographical range. Borneo.

Habitat preference. This is a montane species occurring in both forested and disturbed areas. Records have been from 1050-1930m on G. Kinabalu, at 1618m on Bukit Retak in Brunei, and at 1200m on Bukit Monkobo in Sabah. The original material was from G. Poeh at around 1200m.
