A single female (slide 19683) was recorded from upper montane forest at 1780m on G. Mulu. It is similar to that of calcicola but has a much clearer central fascia that is angled rather than sinuous. The submarginal is also more conspicuous, consisting of an irregular series of ovate black spots. The genitalia have a much broader, square antrum to the ductus bursae, and the ostium is not notched. The corpus bursae is broader. The facies of both this and the next species bears some resemblance to that of A. steniptera Hampson (Sikkim).
