Diagnosis. This is the largest of the trio referred to above, and has the
underside markings very much more sharply defined. The hindwing medial fascia on
the underside is truncated at two-thirds from the costa.
Geographical range. Sri Lanka, Assam, Taiwan, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo.
Habitat preference. The occurrence is similarly wide ranging to that of
lichenosa.
Biology. The larva has been recorded from Shorea (Dipterocarpaceae) (IIE
and FRIM records; Robinson et al., 2001).
