Diagnosis and taxonomic note. The dull, dark, purplish red forewings with
white markings distally, in combination with white hindwings with a grey apex,
are distinctive. The forewing submarginal white dots follow a similar course to
the dark ones in frontalis; the male genitalia also share the generic
features.
Geographical range. Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Borneo.
Habitat preference. The single Bornean specimen seen was taken at Samarinda
in the lowlands of Kalimantan.
