7-8mm. The forewing has the dorsal margin without an angle but very gently curved. The pattern appears somewhat chequered, with patches of rich brown on a fawn ground, three set transversely just distal to the postmedial, and a large and a small one set obliquely basal to the antemedial. The two fasciae themselves are irregular i course, fine, black, and enclose a more variegated fawn and brown medial area. The male genitalia have the valve apices squarer than in other species.

Holotype . SARAWAK: Gunong Mulu Nat. Park, R.G.S. Exped. 1977-8 (J.D.Holloway et al.), Site 28, May, Nr. Long Pala, FEG 1a, 328428, 50m., alluvial forest, BM noctuid slide 17516.

Paratypes: 1 BRUNEI: U. Temburong, 1° forest, 300m, iv.1981 (I. Gauld); 1 MALAYSIA: Sabah, Danum Valley, 170m, 4°58’N, 117°48’E (S.J. Willott), 1° Canopy 1C Tree Pltfm, DVFC, 22.xi.94.

Geographical range. Borneo.

Habitat preference. All specimens are from lowland forest.
