Supernola Hampson
Type species: subrufa
Hampson, Borneo.
This is an enigmatic genus, known only from the holotype female of the type
species. The specimen is somewhat worn. The hindwing venation is trifine. The
forewing has a pinkish tinge that is more evident centrally, where there is an
elliptical arrangement of five black dots. There are more irregular dark marks
along the costa.
The head and thorax are whitish.
The genitalia have the ductus long, but only the basal half is strongly
sclerotised. The pyriform bursa is set asymmetrically on the ductus; it has a
single, transverse, slightly invaginated, ridge-like signum that may be
homologous with the more derived type.
