11mm. Both wings have rounded margins as distinct from the rather square
forewing margin and almost tailed hindwing margin of the other species in the
genus. The facies above is mainly grey, the hindwings darker than the forewings;
the latter are yellow in the other species. The forewing grades paler to the
apex, and there is a yellow triangle at the tornus and a smaller spot subbasally
on the dorsum. The underside of both wings is dark grey, the forewing narrowly
yellow over the distal and dorsal margins, and the hindwing with longitudinal
zones of yellow. The abdomen is dark grey above, yellow below, and extends
almost twice the length of the hindwing dorsum. The genitalia have a narrower,
longer uncus than the type species but this is flanked by shallower lobes from
the tegumen. The valves are more irregularly tapered apically, with the
narrowing more abrupt. The bifurcate process of the valve is more robust, with
denser rows of setae.
