Taxonomic note. The male genitalia of the slightly darker, redder
subrubra are not distinguishable from those of Sundanian material.
Geographical range. Borneo, Sumatra, Sulawesi; New Guinea, Bismarcks (ssp.
subrubra).
Habitat preference. All recent records are from dipterocarp forest,
including alluvial forest, up to 300m.
