Diagnosis.
The species is dark purplish red. It resembles erectilinea most closely
but lacks the straight antemedial fascia.
Taxonomic notes. Sympatry with erectilinea in Borneo indicates this taxon
cannot be considered a subspecies thereof.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The species was described from Mt. Murud, Sarawak, and
has been taken in upper montane forest above 1500m on G. Mulu, Bukit Pagon
and G. Kinabalu. In the last locality it was recorded from as high as
2600m (Holloway, 1976).
