Diagnosis. The
species is smaller than the next and is separated from all congeners by the
straight posterior border, parallel to the dorsum, of the dark zone within the
medial loop of the forewing. The male genitalia have spine-like socii on the
tegumen, and the cubile arms are slender.
Geographical
range. Sundaland.
Habitat
preference.
Infrequent in lowland forest.
Biology.
The species was reared from Melastoma on G. Kinabalu (Holloway. 1976).
Yunus & Ho (1980) gave Nephelium (Sapindaceae) and Coffea
(Rubiaceae) as host-plants.
