Lajonquierea
piccoloptera sp. n.
23-25mm.
The species resembles poeciloptera in colouring and markings except
for the broader diffuse streak mentioned in the description of variabile.
There is some variation, from specimens resembling small versions of jermyi
to those shaded darker brown over the medial band and in the basal and
subapical zones as illustrated. The male genitalia are diagnostic, with
the cubile arms asymmetrically bifid apically, the valves rather even
in width, with an adpressed dorsal spur at two-thirds, and a small, simple
aedeagus vesica only lightly invested with moderate, needle-like spines.
