Diagnosis. The ground colour of the forewing is dull reddish yellow in the
male, darker and more reddish in the female. There is a dark discal spot
and a series of fine, irregular dark fasciae. The excavations of the
forewing margin are weak compared to those of related taxa, particularly
so in the female (illustrated by Diehl (1980)).
Geographical range. Sundaland.
Habitat preference. Harman (1981) recorded one specimen from lowland
forest at 300m and one from upper montane forest on Bukit Retak (1618m),
Brunei.
