Diagnosis. See Fentonia bipunctus Rothschild.
Taxonomic note. This is probably the montane sister species of bipunctus; the
sister species to the pair is the N. E. Himalayan notodontina Rothschild.
Geographical range. Borneo, ?Sumatra (the record of notodontina from
Sumatra by Bender & Dierl (1977) may be referable to talboti).
Habitat preference. The holotype female was from G. Murud, Sarawak. The
species has been taken mainly in upper montane forest at about 1600 - 1800 m on
Bukit Pagon, Bukit Retak and G. Mulu, and also from similar altitudes on G.
Kinabalu.
