Diagnosis. This is a large, slightly yellowish white species. The fringes of the
wings and the forewing costa are tinged slightly dull brown. There is no discal
spot. The frons has a black bar between the antennae and a pair of black patches
immediately below it. The tips of the palps are black and there are black spots
on the legs. The male genitalia are distinctive as illustrated.
Geographical range. Borneo, Sumatra (Schintlmeister, 1994).
Habitat preference. Though commonest in a wide range of lowland forest
types, including heath forest, coastal forest and forest on limestone, the
species has also been taken singly at 900m in lower montane forest on G. Api, at 1000m on
G. Mulu and at 1670m in upper montane forest on Bukit Pagon.
