23-24mm. This species is a slightly creamier white than prasioneura, with
a larger black discal spot on the forewing. The frons has a black bar (or a row
of three black spots) between the antennae and a pair of black spots below this,
one at each end of the bar. The palps have the tips black. There are black spots
on the legs as in prasioneura but these are longer. The male genitalia
have a more tapering, triangular uncus with a pair of shallow, pocket-like
structures basally. The valves are deep, the harpe strongly downcurved,
claw-like. Only dissected specimens are included in the type series, as the next
species is externally similar. There are also female specimens with similar
facies but slightly larger.

Habitat preference. The species has been taken both in the lowlands and
the upper montane zone, the highest record being from 1930m on G. Kinabalu. It
appears to be rarer than the next species.
