"Euproctis" sp.
2543
A single female, somewhat resembling that of kamburonga,
was taken in the vicinity of Paka Cave on G. Kinabalu at 2970m. It was taken
by day, flying over the stream by the cave at 4 p.m. It was included in the
paratypic series for kamburonga but appears to be distinct. It lacks the
black discal spot and scattering of black scales typical of kamburonga. The
genitalia are much less setose, the ductus convolute rather than a sclerotised
tube, and the bursa pyriform.
