11-12mm. Externally this species resembles brooksi,
though the forewing is somewhat more variegated. The dark elements of the
postmedial are seen on the underside and are continued by a submarginal band on
the hindwing. The species is best distinguished by the genitalia where the uncus
is diagnostically bilobed dorsally near its base, the valves have somewhat
broader, with more rounded lobes at the saccular angle, and the aedeagus has
projections centrally rather than subapically. The aedeagus is also less
expanded apically, without a band of sclerotisation extending into the vesica.
Only dissected specimens are listed as types: five further males were taken at
Site 20.
