Toxoproctis alticosmia sp.

Toxoproctis alticosmia (holotype) |

14mm. The facies is much as in cosmia and eumorpha,
the grey perhaps a little darker, less brown in tint than in cosmia. The
male genitalia are diagnostic. Both species have the genital capsule short,
small, with the distal margin of the valve oblique rather than squared off, but
the aedeagus in alticosmia has the apical spines extremely small compared
to cosmia, where the straighter one at least is robust.
