Ilema baruna Moore

Diagnosis. This and the next species are best distinguished on male genitalic
characters. Both have rather deep green forewings with wavy darker and lighter
fasciae, though the lighter elements, particularly towards the costa tend to be
more prominent, whiter in the next species. In the male genitalia, the saccular
part of the valve has a single slender process, rather than a serrate row of
short spines.
Geographical range. Java,
Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat
preference. All
records are from lowland, mostly forested localities.
