Diagnosis.
This is the largest species in the genus. It could be confused with some forms of chloroleuca but, apart from its size, the basal patch of the forewing is almost round, and there is a somewhat smaller round spot on the hindwing. The female from G. Kinabalu has these two spots larger, with an additional small elongate one distally in the space posterior to vein CuA2.

Geographical range. Borneo.

Habitat preference. The species is montane. The holotype is from G. Mulu and there is a female from G. Kinabalu in the BMNH. During the Mulu survey the species illustrated was taken at light at 900m (lower montane forest) on the limestone G. Api.
