Diagnosis. See
the generic description. The facies has some similarity to that of the Holocraspedon
species, but is distinguished by the strongly angled medial fascia between
the two dots in the cell; this fascia usually has dark shading extending away
distad.
Taxonomic note. The
closely related M. venochrea van Eecke occurs in Java.
Geographical range. N.E.
Himalaya, Taiwan, Borneo, Bali.
Habitat preference. Several
specimens were taken at 1000m in lower montane forest on G. Mulu and one in hill
dipterocarp forest at 500m. The species has also been taken in lowland forest at
the Danum Valley Field Centre, Sabah.
