Diagnosis. The
narrow forewings have oblique fasciae in the medial and antemedial positions,
with several longitudinal striae in each of the three parts of the wing they
delimit.
Geographical range. Singapore,
Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Java.
Habitat preference. A
single specimen was taken at 150m in dipterocarp forest at the foot of G. Mulu,
and another from lowland forest at Semongok near Kuching. A third was taken on
the coast of Brunei near mangrove at Kampong Kapok. Material from elsewhere is
also from the lowlands.
Biology. Yunus
& Ho (1980) record this species from Hevea (Euphorbiaceae: rubber)
but unpublished IIE records note it as occurring on the trunk of this tree where
it was probably browsing on lower plants or lichens.
