13mm. The forewings
are less heavily suffused with dark brown than in bipunctalis and thus
appear more contrasty. The antemedial is more hour-glass shaped as in aequalis,
and the basal edge of the postmedial is less sinuous than in bipunctalis,
though still with a slight angle at one-third from the dorsum. Compared to bipunctalis
the male genitalia have the uncus smaller, the distal half of the valve longer,
narrower, more strongly incurved, but with a much smaller apical projection. The
aedeagus vesica has a similar tapering diverticulum and curved sclerotisation in
the ductus ejaculatorius but is smaller.

100m, Lower Temburong, lowland forest, 19.5.79 (Lt. Col. M.G. Allen).
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. Both
specimens are from lowland dipterocarp forest.
