Diagnosis. The forewings are more strongly bifalcate than in congeners except for
the related montane species described below. Both fore- and hindwings are
characterised by an irregular medial band of dark brown broken by pale fawn
along the veins. A male specimen came to hand after the genitalia figures had
been prepared, but distinctive features are noted in the diagnosis of the next
two species.
Geographical range. Borneo, Siberut I.
Habitat preference. Both old and recent material is from lowland
localities, but the species is rare. The only recent specimens were from swamp
forest at Badas and from lowland forest at Badas and from lowland forest at Ulu
Temburong in Brunei.
