Diagnosis. The species may be distinguished from those in Euxena and Episothalma
by the uniformly grey underside and the much larger discal black patches.
Taxonomic notes. Bornean specimens have the black discal patches of the hindwing
larger than in typical Himalayan specimens. The male genitalia show no
significant differences.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, N. Vietnam, Burma, Borneo, Sumatra.
Habitat preference. Both specimens seen are from the lowlands of Sarawak at Bidi.
