Diagnosis. The semicircular blackish zone near the
apex of the forewing and the increasing intensity of black suffusion from margin
to base of the hindwing, except for a small subdorsal green patch, are
diagnostic.
Geographical range. Sumatra, Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia (FRIM
colln).
Habitat preference. The three Bornean specimens seen have
been from lowland dipterocarp forest in Brumas, Sabah (before clearance for
plantation: the species was not recorded by Chey (1994) at Brumas), and the Ulu
Temburong, Brunei.
