Diagnosis. See Ornithospila lineata Moore. The forewing postmedial is more oblique,
the green more intense at its basal edge. The cilia of the wings are pale, with
a diagnostic, bidentate, blackish patch at the margin near the forewing apex.
The hindwing discal red patch is large.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, Sundaland, Philippines.
Habitat preference. This is as scarce a species as O. lineata but also found at
1790m and in hill dipterocarp forest at 150m in G. Mulu.
