Diagnosis. This is the largest of Bornean Comibaena with the most
extensive white markings. The hindwing apical marking is black with a sinuous
grey central mark. The species differs from similar Protuliocnemis Gen.
n. species in the presence of a strong black hindwing discal mark and in the
subcostal kink to the white forewing postmedial.
Geographical range. N.E. Himalaya, Borneo, Sumatra.
Habitat preference. This is a rare species of the upper montane zone, known from 1620m
on G. Kinabalu and a singleton from 1790m on G. Mulu.
