Diagnosis. The uniform brown patches at the forewing tornus and hindwing apex
are larger than in the three species above, the forewing patch having an
irregular projection anteriorly that is separated from the margin.
Geographical range. Sundaland, Philippines; Sulawesi (ssp. prouti).
Habitat preference. The species is recorded frequently in a variety of lowland forest
types including coastal and secondary forest. Chey (1994) found it frequent also
in lowland softwood plantations.
