Diagnosis. The postmedial fasciae are fine, dark greenish brown lines, only
slightly irregular, set relatively distally on the forewing. The male genitalia
have a broad, rounded lobe at the central angle of the costa, and the basal spur
is erect. The saccular process is strong, thornlike, dorsally serrate.
Taxonomic notes. A female from G. Mulu at 1000m illustrated (above) may
represent a further species but it has the dark fasciation of olivata, albeit
blacker with the hindwing postmedial more angled.
Geographical range. Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia (Penang)
Habitat preference. Both Bornean specimens readily identified have been from the
lowlands: Sandakan in Sabah (the holotype) and Kuching in Sarawak.
