Gelasma korintjiensis Prout;
Holloway, 1976: 62.
Diagnosis. This is the largest of the Bornean
species, with a fine, well developed tail to the hindwing, a slightly falcate
forewing apex, and a fine, even, red line on the wing margins, which have cream-coloured
fringes. The wings are dull, darkish green, the fasciae and discal markings
indistinct.
Taxonomic notes. The species is very close to the
Himalayan inaptaria Walker comb. n. but has slightly more falcate
forewings, and a longer structure in the valve sacculus, its distal spine not so
long or strongly reflexed.
Geographical range. Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat preference. This is a rare montane species, known
from two specimens from 1620m on G. Kinabalu, two from lower montane forest at
1000m on G. Mulu and one from 1680m on Bukit Pagon in Brunei.
