9-11mm. In appearance
this species resembles a small M. melancholica. It is distinguished by
features of the male genitalia and the well separated pair of spines in the
eighth sternite. The ventral process of the valve is large relative to the rest
of the valve.

Paratypes. 2 general data as

Pala (Base) 70m. 324450, alluvial/secondary, forest. BM geometrid slide 10666.
Geographical range. Borneo.
Habitat preference. The
species has been taken infrequently in a variety of lowland forest types. Only
dissected specimens are included in the type series.
